Cooperating Partners
Canadian Coalition for Global Health Research (CCGHR)
ZAMFOHR has established a partnership with CCGHR which is a not- for-profit Organization governed by a volunteer Board. The coalition's primary focus is on research to improve health in low-and middle-income Countries (LMIC's) in Africa, Asia and Latin America. A memorandum of understanding was recently instituted to underscore the shared vision and direction between these two Organizations, and to outline how productivity within the partnership can be achieved. In April 2008 CCGHR provided technical support to ZAMFOHR for EVIPNET-sponsored human resources for health (HRH) research workshop.
The Alliance for Policy and Systems Research
ZAMFOHR thanks the Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research (AHPSR) for continuing funding to the development of the Translation Platform. The AHPSR is an international collaboration based in the WHO Geneva. It has its origins in the recommendations of the 1996 report of WHO's Ad Hoc Committee on Health Research which identified lack of health policy and systems research as a key problem impeding the improvement of health outcomes in low and middle income countries. EVIPNET : Evidence-Informed Policy Network For Better Decision Making
EVIPNet is a WHO initiative that encourages policy-makers in low and middle-income countries to use evidence generated by research.It is a collaborative network of researchers, policy makers and civil society to facilitate the use of high quality research evidence.More
International Development Research Centre (IDRC)
ZAMFOHR has also established a partnership with Canada's International Development Research Centre IDRC is a Crown corporation created by the Parliament of Canada in 1970 to help developing countries use science and technology to find practical, long-term solutions to the social, economic, and environmental problems they face. Their support is directed toward creating a local research community whose work will build healthier, more equitable, and more prosperous societies
Research Matters (RM) is a collaboration of the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
